The CAREERS 4.0 Project officially began with a dynamic kick-off meeting hosted online by CMBRAE, Romania. This first encounter marked an important milestone, bringing project partners together and creating a valuable space for connection, collaboration, and shared vision. Participants had the opportunity to get to know one another, presenting themselves and their organizations in a creative and engaging way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, CMBRAE provided a clear and comprehensive overview of the project, outlining the implementation process, the Gantt chart, and key administrative aspects. The structure and content of the Work Packages (WP\u2019s) were also discussed, and the initial activities and next steps were jointly established. The Gantt chart of the project will be the fundamental tool for time management. More than an introductory session, this kick-off meeting set the tone for a productive and inspiring partnership, laying the foundation for effective communication, strong collaboration, and a friendly, results-driven working environment throughout the project\u2019s journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gamification and new job prospects: the transnational meeting of the Careers 4.0 project in Trapani<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On 7 and 8 October 2024, the transnational meeting of the Careers 4.0 project was held in Trapani, at the headquarters of the private research centre iInformatica, as part of the Erasmus+ programme. The project involved partners from five European Union countries: the pre-university counselling centre CMBRAE (Centrul Municipiului Bucuresti de Resurse si Asistenta Educationala), the project leader from Romania, the start-up Progressus from Greece, specialising in skills development for integration into the labour market, Qualificalia, a spin-off from the University of Valladolid dealing with guidance and training, the training organisation Studio Risorse from Matera and the research centre and innovative SME iInformatica, which hosted the partners at its headquarters in the Sicilian city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, the partners presented an initial version of the platform and discussed future content. The platform will allow users to interact with a chatbot and experience virtual and interactive scenarios, using a gamification approach. Through these experiences, a profile corresponding to one of the personalities of the RIASEC model, devised by John Holland, will be returned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Careers 4.0 project aims to develop a new conceptual framework and toolkit for the professional skills and labour market information needed in the context of Industry 4.0, matching people’s aspirations and skills with the job opportunities of the future and the needs that will arise in the labour market in the coming years, stimulating competitiveness, participation and talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis meeting in Trapani was crucial to see the first tangible results of the project and define the next steps. The gamification approach, together with virtual scenarios, will be very important, especially in helping younger generations find their way into the world of work,\u201d said Giuseppe Oddo, CTO of iInformatica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
